About the Journal

  • Purpose: The Journal of Scholarship and Innovation in Management Education aims to foster innovation and share advancements in management education. It serves as a platform for showcasing scholarship, best practices, and pedagogical innovations that contribute to the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL). 
  • Style: Articles should blend academic rigor with accessibility. The journal encourages a reflective and analytical tone, promoting discussion and critical engagement among educators, professional services, students, and scholars. 
  • Content: Contributions should focus on topics that enhance management education in Higher Education. This includes innovative teaching practices, new approaches to curriculum development, enhancements to the management and delivery of educational programmes, and the integration of interdisciplinary approaches. Submissions should engage with SoTL principles and contribute to improving teaching and learning practices in higher education. 
  • SoTL: J-SIME considers SoTL to be a systematic and reflective approach to researching and improving teaching and learning in higher education. It involves educators and professional services staff conducting investigations into their work with the goal of enhancing student learning and educational effectiveness.  
  • Sections: the journal includes Articles, submitted by authors and Editorials written or commissioned by the Editorial team.
  • Licence: Articles in the journal will be published using the Creative Commons licence Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0).
